Composite Autoclave can forming method
Composite material high pressure vessel forming method
The present invention relates to a method for forming a composite material high pressure vessel. The method comprises the following steps:
1. Preparing the composite material: The composite material is prepared by combining two or more materials, such as carbon fiber, glass fiber, and resin, in a predetermined ratio. The materials are mixed and formed into a sheet or a tape.
2. Preparing the mold: A mold is prepared according to the desired shape and size of the high pressure vessel. The mold can be made of metal or other suitable material.
3. Preparing the layup: The composite material sheet or tape is cut into the desired shape and size according to the mold. The cut pieces are then arranged in layers, with each layer oriented in a different direction to enhance the strength and stiffness of the vessel.
4. Layup in the mold: The layup is placed in the mold, and pressure is applied to ensure proper contact between the layers and the mold surface. The layup is then heated to a predetermined temperature to activate the resin and initiate the curing process.
5. Curing: The layup is cured under high pressure and temperature for a predetermined period of time. This allows the resin to fully cure and bond the layers together, forming a solid and durable high pressure vessel.
6. Demolding: After the curing process is complete, the high pressure vessel is demolded by removing it from the mold. Any excess material is trimmed and the vessel is inspected for defects or imperfections.
7. Finishing: The demolded high pressure vessel is subjected to finishing processes, such as sanding, polishing, and painting, to achieve the desired appearance and surface smoothness.
8. Testing: The finished high pressure vessel is subjected to various tests, such as pressure testing, leakage testing, and dimensional inspection, to ensure its quality and performance meet the required standards.
By following the above-described method, a composite material high pressure vessel can be efficiently and accurately formed, with enhanced strength and durability.
