Why use chelated calcium and magnesium in fertilizers:
1. One reason for soil compaction is long-term application of a large amount of phosphate fertilizer. Phosphate ions combine with cations such as calcium and magnesium in the soil to form insoluble phosphate, which destroys the soil aggregate structure and causes soil compaction.
