Product Description
Shin-Etsu KE-1204 is a two-component, room-temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber designed for potting applications. It features excellent heat and cold resistance, as well as superior electrical properties. Since it is UL-rated, it is particularly suitable for applications requiring flame retardancy.

Product Introduction
Shin-Etsu KE-1204 is a high-performance, two-component, room-temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber widely used for potting and insulation in electronic devices. It can cure quickly to form a tough elastomer with excellent heat and cold resistance. KE-1204 does not generate heat during curing, which prevents damage to sensitive components. Compared to traditional epoxy and polyester resins, KE-1204 does not produce by-products during curing and does not corrode metals, making it suitable for potting and insulating various electronic components.

Product Special Attributes

The special attributes of Shin-Etsu KE-1204 include its superior electrical properties and flame retardancy. It can cure quickly, and the resulting elastomer has excellent heat and cold resistance, maintaining stable performance within a temperature range of -50°C to +200°C. KE-1204 does not generate heat during curing, preventing damage to sensitive components. Additionally, it has good deep-curing properties, ensuring consistent curing effects both internally and on the surface, thereby providing stable electrical properties. Since it is UL-rated, KE-1204 has excellent flame retardancy, making it suitable for potting applications requiring flame retardancy.

Shin-Etsu KE-1204 is widely used for potting and insulation in electronic and electrical equipment. It is suitable for insulating potting of electronic components such as transformers, capacitors, and rectifiers, effectively preventing moisture and corrosion. KE-1204 is also commonly used for potting in communication equipment, marine equipment, and hybrid integrated circuits (HIC), ensuring reliable operation of equipment in harsh environments. Additionally, it is used for potting instruments and devices requiring heat resistance, effectively preventing damage to heat-sensitive components. Due to its excellent flame retardancy, KE-1204 is also suitable for potting applications requiring flame retardancy, such as casting in marine equipment and insulating protection of electronic devices.
