Aluminum strip for cable belongs to commercially pure wrought 1000 series alloy family with a purity of 99 . 5% Al . So , 1050 aluminum strip properties show excellent ductility , plasticity , corrosion resistance , and high electrical and thermal conductivity . In addition , 1050 aluminum alloy strip is also a non - heat treatment alloy with low strength , which cannot be strengthened by heat treatment and has weak machinability , but can accept contact welding and gas welding . Currently , since the production process of 1000 Series alloy strip such as 1050 aluminum strip is relatively simple and the technology is quite mature , the highly economical 1050 aluminum strip is very suitable for large - scale application in the field of industrial manufacturing .

Generally , 1050 aluminum strip is commonly used in some conditions requiring high corrosion resistance and formability , but low strength .
Among them , 1050 aluminum alloy for industrial aluminum , is typically used for the manufacture of containers for the chemical industry .
