Heat Dissipation Cooling Lithium Battery PCM For Electric Vehicles features Phase Change Materials (PCMs), which are substances that absorb, store, and release significant thermal energy during a phase transition (typically solid to liquid) to effectively regulate temperature. This makes it an ideal solid PCM for battery thermal management in electric vehicles.
The increasing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) has led to widespread use of lithium-ion batteries, which generate substantial heat. Batteries are highly sensitive to frequent temperature changes, impacting their lifespan.
Our PCM cooling system, a passive thermal management solution, is a superior alternative to traditional methods, requiring no pumps or blowers, thus offering a cost-effective and simple design. The excess heat generated by the EV battery is absorbed by the solid PCM for battery thermal management located near the battery module. When the battery temperature reaches the PCM's melting point, heat is stored as latent heat, minimizing further temperature increase.
