The 74101-169-54 is a PCB gate drive board, manufactured and designed by AB. This board is a spare part that belongs to the 1336 series of adjustable frequency AC drives. This part can also be found under the catalog number 1336-BDB-SP30D. A gate driver consists basically of a level shifter; it receives low-power input and it produces at the same time a high-current drive input. It also has the ability to isolate voltage. The AB 74101-169-54 PCB gate drive board operates with an input voltage of 460 Volts AC and it delivers an output of 100 HP. Its versatility makes it suitable and able to operate with other equipment with frames A, B, C, D, and E.
The 74101-169-54 PCB gate drive board needs to be installed on the base driver board located below the main control board. It is a very fragile part that is intended for use with the adjustable frequency AC drive, so it is fully recommended that only an authorized technician performs this installation to guarantee the proper functioning of all parts, including the drive. Even though the AB 74101-169-54 PCB gate drive board is located inside the drive, as any other electronic part it can be affected by the operating conditions. These conditions should not exceed the established parameters in order to guarantee an optimum performance. The recommended operating conditions should not overpass a temperature range from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius (32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit), an altitude of 1000 meters (2200 feet) and shocks higher than the 15G peak for an 11-millisecond duration.
