The GE Video Driver Board DS3800HVDB1K1G is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Video Driver Board DS3800HVDB1K1G also is populated with 1 20-pin connector between the retention levers. The board is also populated with multiple electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) modules and 15 jumpers.
The EEPROM modules store the firmware and other code that controls the processing on the drive. After you receive the original board, development continues on the firmware and programming instructions to improve the drive processing. The code is updated with fixes to resolve known errors. It is also made more reliable and updated with new features and functions. However, the latest code must be loaded onto the modules in the drive. Only then can the drive benefit from the code updates.
