Wax paper is a special type of paper that has been impregnated or coated with wax and is often

White Wax Paper Feature:
1. Waterproof and moisture-proof
The wax layer endows the paper with extremely strong water resistance, effectively preventing
water penetration. It is suitable for packaging damp items (such as food and seafood) or for
use in damp environments.
2. Semi-transparent or transparent
After wax impregnation, the fiber gaps are filled, and the paper presents a semi-transparent to
transparent state, which is convenient for observing the contents (such as traditional food packaging).
3. Flexibility and tear resistance
The addition of wax enhances the flexibility and tear resistance of the paper, making it less
likely to break even when folded or slightly stretched.
4. Oil-resistant
It has a good barrier effect on oily substances and is often used to wrap oily foods (such as
fried pastries and butter).
5. Poor thermal stability
At high temperatures, the wax layer is prone to melting (with a melting point typically ranging
from 60 to 80℃), which may lead to adhesion or oil seepage and is not suitable for
high-temperature environments.
6. Low air permeability
Wax seals the gaps between the paper fibers, reducing their air permeability and allowing for
short-term preservation (such as wrapping bread and candies), but long-term sealing requires
the use of other materials.
7. Printing and writing restrictions
The surface is smooth and water-repellent. Ordinary ink is difficult to adhere to, so special ink
needs to be used for printing.
