Q: Why is graphite packing used instead of PTFE?
A: Graphite retains its sealing properties and resilience at much higher temperatures (up to 1000°F+ in inert atmospheres) where PTFE would degrade or melt.
Q: Does the extended bonnet affect the flow capacity of the one inch gas valve?
A: No, the flow path through the ball and body remains full port one inch. The bonnet extension is external to the flow path.
