We offer various full carbon fiber plates that are made of real carbon fiber without any impurities such as fiberglass. On both sides, we use 2x2 twill or plain weave fabric while the inner is unidirectional.

Differences Between 0°/90° Carbon Fiber Sheets and Quasi-Isotropic Carbon Fiber Plates
When comparing 0°/90° carbon fiber sheets to quasi-isotropic carbon fiber plates, the primary distinctions lie in their fiber orientation, mechanical properties, and applications.
Fiber Orientation
0°/90° Carbon Fiber Sheets: These sheets consist of layers of carbon fibers oriented strictly at 0° and 90°. This configuration provides maximum strength along the two primary axes but is weaker in off-axis directions, particularly at 45°. This orientation is typically used for applications where loads are primarily aligned with these axes.
Quasi-Isotropic Carbon Fiber Plates
In contrast, quasi-isotropic plates incorporate a balanced arrangement of fibers, typically including orientations at 0°, 90°, +45°, and -45°. This design ensures that the material exhibits uniform mechanical properties in all in-plane directions. The inclusion of ±45° layers enhances performance under torsional loads and reduces weaknesses associated with off-axis bending.
Mechanical Properties
Strength and Stiffness: 0°/90° sheets are strong along the 0° and 90° axes but can experience significant deflections (up to 50% more) when subjected to loads at other angles. Quasi-isotropic plates, however, provide more consistent strength and stiffness across all directions, making them suitable for complex loading scenarios.
Performance Under Load: Quasi-isotropic laminates are designed to handle twisting and off-axis loads effectively, making them ideal for applications such as aerospace components where multidirectional strength is crucial. Conversely, 0°/90° sheets may suffice for simpler applications where loads are predictable and primarily aligned with the fiber direction.
Applications
0°/90° Sheets: Commonly used in structural components where load directions are well-defined and primarily axial. They are often less expensive due to simpler manufacturing processes.
Quasi-Isotropic Plates: These are preferred in high-performance applications such as aerospace, automotive, and sporting goods where multidirectional strength is necessary. Their complex layup increases manufacturing costs but provides superior mechanical performance.
