Description
Non-flushing CTP plates, also known as non-ablative CTP plates or dry offset plates, are a type of printing plate commonly used in offset printing. These plates are different from traditional CTP plates, as they do not require any chemical processing, making them an eco-friendly option for printing.Non-flushing CTP plates are made up of a photosensitive material applied to an aluminum base. The plate is then exposed to UV light through a film negative or digital file, causing a chemical reaction in the photosensitive layer. The exposed areas become receptive to ink, while the unexposed areas remain hydrophilic (water-receptive) and repel ink.After exposure, the plate is mounted onto the press, where ink is applied directly to the plate. The ink adheres to the exposed areas, while the non-image areas remain free of ink. This process eliminates the need for chemical processing, making non-flushing CTP plates a more environmentally sustainable option for printing.Overall, non-flushing CTP plates offer a precise and efficient method of producing prints with exceptional quality and detail, while also reducing the environmental impact of the printing process.
