Description

Dual-layer CTP (Computer-to-Plate) plates, also known as two-layer CTP plates, are a type of printing plate that consists of two layers. The top layer is a thin, light-sensitive layer, while the bottom layer is a thicker aluminum layer that provides support and stability.
During the printing plate-making process, the top layer of the dual-layer CTP plate is exposed to laser light, which creates an image on the plate. The unexposed areas of the top layer are then washed away, revealing the aluminum layer underneath. The aluminum layer serves as the printing surface, which is inked and used to transfer the image onto the printing material.
Dual-layer CTP plates are known for their high resolution and excellent image reproduction capabilities.
