Photoinitiator 819 has a similar molecular structure to TPO, and both belong to the acylphosphine oxide cleavage-type free radical photoinitiator. The photolysis products are: two trimethylbenzoyl groups and one phenylphosphonyl free radical, both of which are free radicals with high initiation activity, so the photoinitiator activity is higher than that of TPO.
Application of Light Yellow Crystalline Powder Photoinitiator 819 CAS 162881-26-7 UV Curing Plastic Coating
Photoinitiator 819 can also be used for colored UV-curing plastic coatings. UV coatings have been widely used on plastic shells of various electronic and home appliance products due to their excellent performance and efficient production. However, the deep curing of UV coatings after coloring is not good, resulting in poor adhesion of the coating film and poor dispersion and arrangement of UV resin on pigments, which seriously affects the appearance of the coating film. Therefore, the traditional construction process is to first apply solvent-based colored primer for coloring, and then apply UV varnish after baking to improve the various physical properties of the paint film surface.
