2x2 Single Mode Fiber Optical Bypass Switches for Optical Network Protection

 

GEZHI 2x2 optical bypass switches for 100M/1G/10G fiber optic networks protect the network from failures and ensure network integrity during power loss. Each of these GEZHI fiber optical bypass switches includes Network ports and Monitor ports. The Network ports are used for connection to main-network connections and provide protection mechanism, and the Monitor ports are used for down-link local networking device. When the power is on, the operation mode of the Bypass switch is set to Normal, and the local networking device is connected with main-network. When power failure occurs, the 2x2 optical Bypass switch is swiftly set to bypass mode to isolate the mainnetwork from the local networking device.

The picture (figure 1) is the optical transmission path network. The signal between the internet and router is is transmit by transmission equipment. When transmission equipment have problems or power off, then the signal can’t transmit . Now we will integrate the 2×2 Bypass optical switch into transmission equipment, to realize the function and ensure the system and other chain are on a normal communicating condition.
