Rotary drilling mud guns for mud tank in the drilling fluids system at oilfield
Rotary drilling mud guns are the mud guns with the rotation handle. This will help users to operate mud guns on tank and get better jet mixing result. It can help to eliminate the dead corner. If the mud guns are fit with only one nozzle, the rotary option is very good and helpful. Some clients don't request rotary one but request 3-nozzle. This will also do operators some favor to decrease the dead corner effect.
Mud guns are also referred as jet mixers. They are fit on mud tank usually used together with the mud agitator. Pivot type mud gun is more popular since the convenient installation and operation. It is also known as spinner type mud gun. Mud guns number is same as agitator number. Usually, 3 meters per set mud gun. Mud gun can help to mix drilling fluids completely, which even at corner of mud tank. Besides mix drilling fluids, mud guns also help to clean mud tank when necessary.
The length of mud gun defined by mud tank depth or height. Similar as the shaft on mud agitator. Mud guns connectes with the mud gun lines on tank top. The line is 2'' or 3''. The mud gun inlet is 2'' or 3'' accordingly. Besides the mud gun length and diameter, the mud gun nozzles and rotatable or not are also customizable. Nozzle number of mud guns can be 1 or 2, or 3. And the Pressure can be normal pressure or middle pressure or high pressure. Mud gun is made of high quality seamless pipe connected with flange and valve and the bottom polyurethane nozzle. The rotataion angle can be 0~360°. Some clients prefer the rotatable mud gun since to mix mud without dead corner.And more flexible on jet position.
What difference among different type mud guns? The bottom type mud guns are connected with bottom mud line and the nozzles is at higher position, while the non spin type is designed for mixing large volume of fluids on top of tank or pit also for transferring mud from compartment to another. It's more flexilbe to install mud gun in any position necessary.
We also have made mud gun with 4'' pipe. And pressure range is 0.1Mpa~6.4Mpa. Higher pressure will perform better and safe jet work during drilling fluids mixing by mud guns. The mud gun assembly including handle, valve, flange, pipe, nozzle. On the rotatable mud gun, there is bearing between elbow and the submerged pipe.
