The Rexnord Replacement Flexible Disc Coupling consists of thin metal gaskets, which are punched or laser cut into a ring, with a series of mounting holes. The number of holes depends on the size of the coupling. The gaskets are stacked together and fixed in place through the bushing, and then the generated disc group is bolted to the coupling system. Misalignment compensation depends on the flexibility of the dry gasket itself. Generally, the larger the stack, the greater the overall stiffness of the parent group in torsion and bending.
