Current-Carrying Hose Crushing Test Apparatus IEC60335-2-2

1. Introduction

The current-carrying hose test apparatus is designed to meet the test requirements of IEC60335-2-2 clause 21.101, for verifying the current-carrying hose resistance to crushing.

The hose is placed between two parallel steel plates, the axis of the hose is positioned at right angles to the longer sides of the plates. The plates are placed at a distance of approximately 350mm from one end of the hose. The steel plates are pressed together at a rate of 50mm/min±5mm/min until the applied force is 1.5KN. The force is then released and the electric strength test is carried out.
