The BP1-416 Frequency Sensitive Rheostat is a professional and reliable component specifically designed for the smooth starting of 3-phase AC wound-rotor asynchronous motors. As a core device in motor control circuits, it effectively limits starting current, reduces mechanical impact, and ensures stable, efficient motor operation throughout the startup process.
Essentially a three-phase reactor with high iron core loss, the BP1-416 features automatic impedance adjustment based on rotor current frequency. During startup when rotor frequency is high, the rheostat's impedance increases to restrict inrush current. As motor speed increases and rotor frequency decreases, the impedance automatically reduces, enabling smooth acceleration to rated speed without manual adjustment.
