LCOS technology
The working principle of LCOS is to use the mirror on the back of the liquid crystal layer. After light comes in from the front, it is transmitted through the liquid crystal, reflected by the mirror, and then transmitted to the screen through the liquid crystal for the second time. This requires some slightly complex optics, but the effect is very good.
It has an obvious advantage: all the electronic components are behind the mirror, so they will not block the light. There is still a lot of space on the back, so it is possible to obtain extremely high resolution, and the equipment produced by LCOS technology already has the highest resolution among all display technologies. Therefore, the light is transmitted through the liquid crystal twice, so it can provide high contrast, and the thickness is quite thin, which significantly shortens the response time and greatly reduces the tailing phenomenon.
Compared with LCD, LCOS technology has only one optical surface, so that another plane can be used to configure the drive circuit. And then achieve the product structure of the integrated drive circuit and chip.
