Salt Spray Corrosion Test Chamber Industrial Equipment DIN50021 B-SST-60
Salt spray test chamber is used to test the reliability of corrosion resistance of the tested samples by means of salt spray corrosion. Salt spray refers to the dispersion system composed of tiny droplets containing salt in the atmosphere, which is one of the three prevention series of artificial environment. Many enterprise products need to simulate the damage caused by the surrounding climate on the products, so the salt spray test chamber should be shipped. Salt spray test is divided into two kinds: neutral salt spray and acid salt spray. The difference lies in the standards and test methods they meet. They are called "NSS" and "CASS" test respectively, which are the most common test methods in artificial climate protection.
The salt spray test chamber can do four kinds of tests: neutral salt spray test (NSS), copper accelerated acetic acid salt spray test (CASS), alternating salt spray test, acetic acid salt spray test (ASS test). Of course, different tests not only require different solutions, even the design and structure of the box may also be different.
1. Neutral salt spray test (NSS) The temperature of the test chamber shall be (35±2)℃, the humidity shall be greater than 95%, the fog reduction volume shall be 1 ~ 2mL/80cm*h and the nozzle pressure shall be 78.5 ~ 137.3kPa(0.8 ~ 1.4kgf/cm2). It is to spray brine containing (5 0.5)% sodium chloride with a pH value of 6.5 ~ 7.2 through the spray device in the salt spray test chamber, and let the salt spray settle on the test part to be tested, and observe its surface corrosion state after a certain period of time.
2. Copper accelerated Acetic acid salt spray test (CASS) is to add 2 water copper chloride into 5% sodium chloride brine on the basis of the general salt spray test, so that its concentration is 0.26g/L, and then adjust the PH with acetic acid, so that the PH value of the salt spray collection solution is 3.1-3.3. (Test reference GB/T 10125 artificial atmosphere corrosion test)

4. Acetic acid spray test (ASS test) is developed on the basis of neutral salt spray test. It's a 5% sodium chloride solution with some glacial acetic acid.
