1. Product Overview

Purpose: Used in SMT production lines to connect two segments of electronic component tapes (such as braided resistors, capacitors, etc.) through adhesive bonding, avoiding downtime and material replacement caused by tape exhaustion, and improving production efficiency.
Size: Width of 12 millimeters, suitable for most standard SMT feeders.
Color: Black, usually used to distinguish between different functions or types of material strips, and black may help reduce light reflection and improve operational visibility.

2. Structure and Materials

Substrate: High strength and wear-resistant polyester (PET) or polyimide (PI) films are usually used as substrates to ensure the flexibility and durability of the receiving tape.
Adhesive: Using high viscosity and high temperature resistant pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA), it can maintain stable bonding performance in high temperature environments and is suitable for high temperature environments in SMT production lines (such as before reflow soldering furnaces).
Back lining: Some of the receiving tapes may have release paper or release film, which makes it easy for operators to tear off during receiving and protects the adhesive from contamination.

3. Performance characteristics

High temperature resistance: able to maintain adhesive performance in the high temperature environment of SMT production line (such as above 200 ° C), without peeling or residue.

5. Instructions for use

Preparation: Align the material strips that need to be connected to ensure that the receiving position is flat.
Tear off release paper: If the receiving tape has release paper, it is necessary to first tear off the release paper to expose the adhesive.
Paste: Paste the tape at the seam of the tape to ensure a firm bond.
Inspection: Check if the material receiving area is flat and secure, ensuring that there are no bubbles or curled edges.
Continue production: Reinstall the connected material strip into the feeder and continue production.
