If your 2017+ Tesla Model 3’s left active hood strut feels loose, won’t hold the hood up steadily, or makes a creaking sound when you lift/lower the hood—this CFN left-hand active hood strut bracket is the fix you need. As a CFN branded part (not Tesla OEM), it’s built to match the original bracket’s dimensions and mounting points for 2017+ Model 3s, ensuring the active hood strut stays securely attached and works like it should.
The active hood strut bracket is a critical “connection point”: it links the left-side active strut (which lifts and holds the hood) to the car’s frame. A worn or broken bracket can make the hood sag, rattle while driving, or even fail to stay open—risking damage to your hands when checking the battery or fluids. This CFN bracket mirrors the original’s strength, using reinforced nylon plastic that handles the strut’s pressure without bending or cracking, even after years of opening and closing the hood.
It’s designed for perfect fit: no trimming or modifying the 2017+ Model 3’s frame—just align the bracket with the factory pre-drilled holes on the left side of the engine bay. The mounting holes line up exactly with the strut’s end and the car’s body, so the strut stays in the correct angle to lift the hood smoothly and hold it securely. Unlike generic brackets that might shift over time, this one maintains a tight fit, eliminating creaks and ensuring consistent hood operation.
Installing it is manageable for DIYers with basic tools. First, support the hood safely (use a prop rod to avoid it falling). Then, remove the two small bolts holding the old left bracket in place, take out the worn part, and slide this CFN bracket into position. Important: This is only for the left-hand side of 2017+ Tesla Model 3s (all variants from 2017 onward). It won’t fit Model 3s with aftermarket hoods or other Tesla models (Model Y/S/X). It’s ideal for replacing cracked, worn, or missing original brackets—keeping your Model 3’s active hood system reliable and safe to use.
