How to Store Excavator Hydraulic Cylinders (If Not Used Immediately)
1. Store indoors in a dry, clean place with the rod fully retracted.
2. Protect the chrome rod from rust — apply grease or rust-preventive oil.
3. Grease the eye or clevis bushings to avoid internal rust.
4. If storing with oil inside, install a relief valve to handle oil expansion from temperature changes.
5.Under this confitions, Cylinders can be safely stored for up to 12 months.After 12 months, check the cylinder and reapply rust protection.
PS: Proper storage helps extend the life of your cylinder and ensures it works perfectly when you need it.
