Telescopic Dipper Arm
A telescopic dipper arm is a specialized attachment featuring a sophisticated telescopic mechanism, designed for excavation in tight spaces or material retrieval from pits where a long reach front attachment may not be feasible.
In challenging scenarios like these, cranes with cable-operated clamshell buckets are often utilized. However, the cycle times of such crane solutions are significantly slower when compared to hydraulic-operated telescopic dipper arms with clamshell bucket attachments. The ingenious integration of hydraulic systems with cables and sheaves forms the pivotal component for operating the two sliding elements within the outer housing.
For 20-ton and 35-ton class excavators, a telescopic dipper attachment can achieve digging depths of up to 20 meters and 25 meters respectively, all within a compact working radius. When faced with constraints of limited space and depth at a work site, a telescopic dipper attachment stands out as the most efficient and effective solution available.
