• Function

1.Sealing to prevent oil leakage: The valve cover gasket is installed between the cylinder head and the valve cover. When the bolts are tightened, it is compressed to form a seal, preventing engine oil from leaking out of the top of the engine. This ensures that the lubricating oil remains within the engine's lubrication system, providing proper lubrication to various components and reducing wear and tear.

2.Protecting engine components: It acts as a barrier to protect the cylinder head hardware from external contaminants such as dust, dirt, and water. If these contaminants enter the engine, they can cause damage to the internal components, such as the pistons and cylinders, and affect the engine's performance and lifespan. The valve cover gasket helps to keep the engine clean and free from such contaminants.
