Limited Oxygen Index Tester Product Introduction :
Oxygen index tester: It is an instrument used to determine the oxygen concentration (volume percentage) required by polymers during combustion according to ISO 4589-2 and ASTM D2863. The oxygen index value of a polymer is the minimum oxygen volume percentage in the oxygen-nitrogen mixture required for the substance to maintain combustion of 50 mm or a combustion time of 3 minutes after ignition. The instrument has a simple structure and is easy to operate. It can be used as a means of identifying the combustion performance of a compound, or as a related research tool to gain a better understanding of the combustion process of a polymer. This instrument is suitable for testing the combustion performance of materials such as plastics, rubber, and foams. Its measurement results are accurate and reproducible. It is an indispensable test instrument for the research and production of flame retardant materials.
This instrument uses a mass flow meter + touch screen control. The oxygen concentration no longer needs to be adjusted manually, but the value can be set on the touch screen. This function greatly reduces the test process time and improves the control accuracy of oxygen concentration.

Oxygen index meter: Use oxygen and nitrogen mixed in proportion, accurately control the gas flow rate, and measure the minimum oxygen concentration required to maintain the combustion of the sample.
3. Test standard:
Different materials and application scenarios have different test standards, such as ISO 4589-2 (room temperature oxygen index) and ISO 4589-3 (high temperature oxygen index).
