Equipped with a precision horizontal tube furnace and a high-sensitivity FTIR analyzer, it quantifies critical toxic gases such as CO, CO₂, HCN, and halogens at 800°C, ensuring compliance with no-halogen standards. Ideal for testing EN 50264, EN 50306, and EN 50382 series cables, our instrument guarantees reliable, repeatable results for enhanced safety in railway applications. 1 Complies with Appendix C "Toxicity Index Test Method" of GB/T19666-2019 "General Rules for Flame Retardant and Fire Resistant Wires, Cables or Optical Cables".
2 Complies with EN 50305:2020 "Railway Facilities. Test Methods for Railway Locomotive Cables with Special Flame Resistant Properties";

 

 

Test product scope

 

Covering halogen-free railway vehicle cables and their insulation/sheath materials in the EN 50264, EN 50306, and EN 50382 series.
The testing content includes toxic gas emissions, CIT value calculation, halogen-free characteristic verification, and other fire performance tests.
Suitable for cable applications in the railway industry that require high safety and low toxicity requirements.

 

 

Prameter

 

1 Tube furnace: This furnace has the characteristics of balanced temperature field, low surface temperature and fast temperature rise and fall rate;

 

1.1 Effective length and diameter of heating chamber 600×ф42mm;

 

1.2 Tube furnace: operating temperature (800±10)°C; test time 40min.

 

1.3 P.I.D temperature control system is adopted;

 

1.4 Electric heating system is adopted. Heating power: 220V/10KW;

 

1.5 Needle valve is used to adjust flow rate: flow rate is 0.33m/s;

 

1.6 Air source is air compressor, 160L/h;

 

2 Combustion tube:

 

2.1 Material: refractory tube made of silicon dioxide, resistant to corrosive gas.

 

2.2 Specifications: inner diameter 40mm, the length extending from the inlet side of the tubular furnace is 60~200mm, and the length extending from the outlet side is 60~100mm, leaving a gap for thermal expansion.

 

3 Combustion boat:

 

1 Material: fused quartz tube.

 

2 Specifications: 100mm long, 25mm wide, 10mm deep.

 

3 Combustion boat delivery method: bar magnet and platinum wire pulling method.

 

4Gas collection: 3 selection bottles and 2 air bags.

 

5 Gas supply system:

 

5.1 Air flow meter: 16L~160L adjustable

 

5.2 Compressor (provided by your company)

 

6 Sampling part:
