1. Discharge platform

The unloading platform is designed to handle the difficulties associated with unloading large quantities of tomatoes from trucks. By utilizing water guns, the tomatoes can be efficiently dislodged from the trucks and directed towards the processing line. 2. Elevator

3. Washing

Fresh fruit should be washed carefully before crushing. Foam washers can be used along with spray washers for cleaning. More washing steps can be added if the washing requirements are high. Furthermore, by adding ultrasonic cleaning or ozone cleaning, you can obtain a higher cleaning effect.

4. Sorting

After washing, the surface of the fruit is clean, we can check the situation of all the fruit by human eye, and sort out the bad tomatoes by human.

5. Crushing for tomato processing

The GFM-FC series crushers utilize an advanced working principle, offering superior manufacturing precision and the highest crushing capacity. These crushers are primarily designed for grinding a variety of fruits and vegetables, including tomatoes, apples, pears, strawberries, celery, and more. By crushing the raw materials into small particles, the machine enhances the efficiency of the subsequent processing stages.

6. Preheating

The pre-heater is used to heat the product after crusher, the temperature is adjustable, normally from 45℃ to 85℃. This processing step, would help to higher the juice rate for next step, and also can protect the color and taste of the final product.

7. Pulper and refiner

Operating at a speed of 1470 r/min, the machine generates centrifugal force that aids in the passage of the product through screens for purification purposes. Typically, I utilize a two-stage pulper and refiner configuration, each equipped with different screens. The first stage employs a larger screen, while the second stage utilizes a smaller screen. Through this process, the tomato pulp output from the two-stage beater can reach an impressive 90% to 95%. The pulping operation effectively separates the tomato skin and seeds from the pulp.

8. Evaporating

Vacuum evaporators are used to thicken ketchup under vacuum and at low temperatures. A forced circulation vacuum evaporator is used here. Vacuum cooking preserves the taste and nutrition as much as possible. Tomato paste is made by allowing the water to evaporate from the tomato pulp. Typical Brix levels are 28-30% and 36-38%.

9. Sterilizing

A tube-in-tube sterilizer is employed for the sterilization of ketchup, providing the ability to adjust the sterilization temperature and holding time. This machine ensures the ketchup is subjected to a high temperature of approximately 115°C for a duration of 30 seconds, followed by rapid cooling to room temperature. This process aims to preserve the quality, taste, and nutritional value of the ketchup to the greatest extent possible.

The entire system is equipped with programmable control, allowing for precise adjustments and automation of the sterilization process. The operating system features an intuitive image-based human-machine interface (HMI), enabling easy monitoring and understanding of the equipment's operation and the status of each component. 10. Aseptic Filling

Aseptic filling machines work with tubing in tubular sterilizers. This is a closed loop. Prior to production, the cycle is fully sterilized to ensure a sterile environment.
