The prepainted steel sheet in coil is a product which is obtained by subjecting a hot-dipped galvanized steel sheet to a surface chemical treatment (often referred to as a coating). The base metal used for these processes consist of either cold-rolled steel, hot dipped galvanized steel, electro-galvanized steel, and hot dipped galvalume steel. The coating material can vary, and generally consists of polyester, silicon modified polyester, polyvinylidene fluoride, high-durability polyester, and other materials.
Prepainted steel sheet consists of a steel core, a metal coating, a primer and a top coat. It is formed through several stages of pre-treatment, coating, baking and cooling, thereby creating an organic protective film on the steel substrate, which offers strong durability and corrosion resistance, as well as a good decoration and formability.
