We recommend you to replace the filter every 2-3 months for optimal performance (depending upon your usage). It is fairly easy to install the humidifier wick filter, no tools required, just cost you few minutes. Simply run the humidifier out of water. Remove the top, there is a frame you need to remove. Remove the old wick, replace with new, put the frame on the wick.
