High Intensity Focused Ultrasound, also known as ‘HIFU’, ‘non-surgical face lift’ or the ‘lunchtime face lift’ has become one of the most sought-after lifting, firming, and tightening treatments for the face and body. A HIFU machine tightens and firms up loose skin to counteract the effects of both time and gravity.

HIFU is one of the few treatments that can reach the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) – which was previously accessible only via surgery. The result is a natural lift with virtually no downtime.
The heat generated in the skin stimulates the cells to produce strong, new collagen and kick-start dormant collagen. As collagen production increases up to 12 weeks post-treatment, this results in a more youthful and refreshed look.
HIFU Face
The HIFU face treatment works by sending highly focused acoustic energy below the skin’s surface to cause cellular friction within the molecules, resulting in precise, target-point heating. Delivering this focused energy to the dermal tissue causes immediate trauma to the treatment zone which then promotes healing, immediate contraction and collagen stimulation. The healing process works over approximately 180 days, stimulating long-term tissue repair leading to further lifting and tightening.
The SMAS layer (superficial muscular aponeurotic system) is also targeted during the treatment and is composed of collagen and elastin fibres, similar to those of the dermal tissue, and when treated, gives a long-lasting tightening effect.
HIFU Body
Similarly to the HIFU face treatment, HIFU body also works by using highly focused acoustic energy to create target-point heating. However, this treatment reaches different depths to target fat removal.
The effect creates a focal point of energy, exposing fat cells to temperatures of 60-65°c, effectively destroying them so they're eliminated by your own body's lymphatic system.

Is there any downtime with a Focus Dual HIFU treatment?
Due to the non-invasive nature of HIFU treatments, there is virtually no downtime. You may experience slight redness following the treatment, and a small percentage of our clients do experience minor swelling, tingling, or tenderness.
These symptoms are mild and temporary. Your clients will be able to return to their normal activities straight away, and there are no special recovery measures needed. This is why HIFU has earned the name “lunchtime facelift”.
