Precautions for the use of Danfoss cycloidal motors

Installation requirements:
Installation and fixation: The mounting bracket must have sufficient rigidity, the output shaft should be coaxial with the center line of the connected coupling, and the mounting surface should be perpendicular to the output shaft axis.
Pipeline connection: When the inlet and return oil pipes are steel pipes, the stress of the pipeline must be completely removed, and no force is allowed to act on the motor.
Oil filling and exhaust: After installation and before starting, fill the motor housing with clean hydraulic oil from the two oil ports and exhaust.

Operation and maintenance:
Avoid overload: The motor cannot be used at maximum speed and maximum pressure at the same time.
Regular inspection: Check the cleanliness and oil level of the hydraulic oil regularly, replace the hydraulic oil and clean the oil filter in time.
Pay attention to the oil state: If the color of the oil turns black, there may be an overheating problem; if the oil is emulsified, there may be water contamination.
Run-in operation: Before the motor reaches full load, it should be run-in. It is recommended to run-in at less than 30% of the maximum working pressure for 1 hour.

Special precautions:
Back pressure control: Excessive back pressure will damage the internal seal of the motor. It is recommended that the back pressure does not exceed 5MPa. If the back pressure exceeds this range, it is recommended to connect the external leakage oil pipe.
Avoid radial load: Motors without radial force bearing design should avoid radial loads on the motor output shaft.
Prevent cavitation: Although the motor does not have cavitation problems, if the oil is too thick, it will cause cavitation and damage to the oil pump when starting in cold weather.
Oil viscosity: When selecting hydraulic oil, all components in the system should be taken into consideration and adjusted appropriately to obtain the best viscosity range.
