It is a processed bamboo that undergoes high temperature and high pressure to form a hard layer of carbonized particles on the surface, while also achieving the effect of killing mites and bacteria! As carbonized bamboo becomes harder than ordinary bamboo, it prevents surface damage and bamboo thorns. The material of ordinary bamboo, which has a shorter growth period, is soft and prone to decay and bamboo thorns.
Carbonized bamboo and ordinary bamboo are mainly distinguished from four aspects: different production processes, different softness and hardness, different properties, and different uses.
1. The production process is different: Bamboo carbonization does not refer to roasting bamboo over fire, but to high-temperature steaming and cooking bamboo. China has been using high-temperature steaming to process bamboo since ancient times. Carbonized bamboo refers to the process of placing bamboo fibers or packages into a high-pressure carbonization boiler at 100-150 degrees Celsius for steam carbonization treatment. After being subjected to high temperature and pressure, a hard layer of carbonized particles is formed on the surface, and the bamboo itself becomes harder; However, ordinary bamboo has not undergone carbonization treatment.
2. Different softness and hardness: carbonized bamboo has a harder surface than ordinary bamboo; Ordinary bamboo has stronger toughness than carbonized bamboo.
3. Performance difference: On the surface of carbonized bamboo, hard carbonized particles can form an environment that is difficult for bacteria to survive, thereby achieving antibacterial effects; Ordinary bamboo can inhibit the growth of fungi and microorganisms without processing, making it relatively more environmentally friendly.
4. Different uses: Bamboo fibers made from ordinary physical and chemical reactions are used as textiles, towels, and clothing. Bamboo is baked to make bamboo charcoal, which is used in many occasions, including removing environmental odors and special flavor foods. Activated carbon made from crushed and activated bamboo charcoal has excellent adsorption and purification effects, and is used in automobiles, homes, and sewage treatment. Bamboo is also commonly used for building sheds, building materials, and daily necessities such as brooms, tables, and chairs. Bamboo can also be woven into baskets, backpacks, vegetable baskets, mats, and other common items in rural areas. Bamboo has now been widely used in the field of close fitting textiles such as home textiles, socks, and underwear.
Examples of carbonization techniques for bamboo chopsticks: Firstly, the cold air in the carbonization furnace should be promptly discharged, as the presence of cold air inside can affect the temperature rise. It will condense water vapor into water. Affects the carbonization effect. Before heating to 100 degrees, open the exhaust valve and let out the cold air. When reaching 100 degrees, close the exhaust valve and continue heating.
Chopsticks, bamboo shreds, or bamboo sticks can be carbonized by passing them through water before being pushed into the carbonization furnace, which will make the overall carbonization uniform.
