Production Process for lithium polymer battery cell:


Electrode Preparation: The ternary positive electrode material (lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide) and negative electrode material (graphite) are mixed with a binder and a conductive agent, respectively, to form a slurry. The slurry is then evenly coated onto aluminum foil (positive electrode) and copper foil (negative electrode). After drying and roller pressing, the slurry is cut into electrode sheets of corresponding sizes.


Cell Assembly: Using a lamination process (suitable for the high-precision requirements of small cells), the positive electrode, separator, and negative electrode are alternately stacked to form the cell body. This is then encapsulated in an aluminum-plastic film with a pre-reserved injection port.


Injection and Packaging: The electrolyte (carbonate-based) is injected in a dry environment, and the aluminum-plastic film is vacuum-sealed to prevent leakage and moisture intrusion.


Formation and Aging: The cells undergo an initial charge (to form the SEI film and ensure cycling stability). Capacity, voltage, and internal resistance testing are then performed to screen qualified cells. Finally, the cells are aged for 24-48 hours to ensure stable performance.​


Main Advantages for lipo battery:


High Energy Density: The ternary material system boasts a specific capacity of 150-180 mAh/g, 15%-20% higher than lithium iron phosphate batteries of the same volume. Its 400 mAh capacity is ideal for the battery life requirements of small devices.

Excellent Discharge Performance: Supports a 0.5C-2C discharge rate (normal use: 0.5C, peak: 2C), with a stable voltage platform (over 80% of the discharge range is between 3.7V and 3.2V), making it suitable for intermittent, low-power power supply scenarios.


Strong Form Factor: The flexible aluminum-plastic film package withstands slight compression and deformation, allowing it to fit into irregular installation spaces within devices (such as curved smart wearables). It is also 30% lighter than a steel-cased lithium battery of the same capacity.


Safety and Controllability: Equipped with an overcharge, over-discharge, and overcurrent protection board (PCB), it prevents voltage anomalies (upper limit: 4.2V / lower limit: 3.0V), reducing the risk of bulging.​
