It effectively intercepts large solid floating debris, ensuring unimpeded water flow and protecting downstream equipment.
Structure & Working Principle
The bar screen features a downward-backtracking design with a rotary chain mechanism. The grid surface consists of toothed rake plates and fixed bars. As wastewater flows through, debris larger than the bar spacing is trapped. The rake teeth penetrate the bar gaps and, driven by the rotary chain, lift debris upward to the discharge outlet. Upon descending, debris falls automatically by gravity into a conveyor or collection system for further handling.

Anti-Short Circuit Design: A secondary grid is installed at the base to prevent water and debris bypass when the rake transitions from the back to the front side.
