The NVIDIA® MFS1S50-H015V is a high-performance, low-latency Active Optical Cable (AOC) designed to split a single 200Gb/s QSFP56 port into two independent 100Gb/s QSFP56 connections. Ideal for high-density data center environments, this fiber optic cable offers reliable, power-efficient connectivity for HDR InfiniBand and 200GbE applications. With a length of 15 meters, it provides flexibility in rack and row-based deployments.
This active optical cable complies with industry standards including SFF-8665 (QSFP56), SFF-8636 (management interface), and IEEE 200GbE. It uses VCSEL-based optical technology and PAM4 modulation to achieve high data rates over multi-mode fiber with low bit error rates.
The cable converts electrical signals from the 200Gb/s QSFP56 port into optical signals, which are split and transmitted over four multi-mode fiber pairs. At the dual QSFP56 ends, the optical signals are converted back to electrical signals, providing two independent 100Gb/s channels. Integrated EEPROM enables real-time monitoring and management.
