The Mellanox MCP1600-C001E30N is a high-performance, cost-effective passive copper cable designed for 100GbE applications. It provides reliable, low-latency connectivity for data centers and enterprise networks, supporting high bandwidth and density with minimal power consumption.
This passive copper cable complies with IEEE 802.3bj standards, supporting both CA-25G-N (No-FEC) and CA-25G-L (RS-FEC) for lengths up to 5m. It uses a 4-channel copper design, each operating at 25Gb/s, and includes an EEPROM for device identification and management.
The cable consists of four shielded twinaxial copper pairs, transmitting data at 25 Gb/s per lane. The integrated EEPROM stores vital product data, allowing the host system to identify and configure the cable automatically. The passive design ensures low latency and high signal integrity.
