The Mellanox MFM1T02A-SR is a high-performance, hot-pluggable Optical Fiber Cable transceiver module designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications. This SFP+ module supports data rates up to 10.3125 Gb/s over multi-mode fiber (MMF) using an 850nm wavelength. It is ideal for enterprise data centers, high-performance computing, and storage area networks requiring reliable, high-speed connectivity.
The MFM1T02A-SR complies with IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR and SFF-8083 standards. It also supports SFF-8472 for digital diagnostics, enabling real-time monitoring of temperature, voltage, and optical power.
The transceiver converts electrical signals into optical signals using a VCSEL laser, transmitting data over Optical Fiber Cable via LC connectors. On the receiver side, a photodetector converts the optical signal back into electrical form, ensuring high-speed data transmission with low bit error rates (BER < 10⁻¹⁵).
