Function:
Crane balance valve is an important safety device in the hydraulic system of the crane, its main role is as follows:
1. Preventing uncontrolled falling of heavy loads
The counterbalance valve can effectively limit the descending speed of the crane and prevent uncontrolled falling caused by gravity when lowering the heavy load. It produces enough throttle resistance in the return line of hydraulic cylinder or hydraulic motor to balance the gravity of the load, thus realising the control of the descending speed.
2. Maintaining the balance and stability of the crane
The counterbalance valve ensures that the crane is balanced during operation, especially when the boom is luffing, telescoping or lifting objects, and prevents instability caused by load changes or external forces. For example, when the oil pipe of the boom luffing cylinder or telescopic cylinder breaks, the counterbalance valve can lock the working oil in the lower chamber of the cylinder to prevent the boom from falling down accidentally.
3. Load holding function
The counterbalance valve can prevent the hydraulic cylinder or hydraulic motor from accidentally moving under load, so that the load can be kept in a specific position until the operator carries out the next operation. This function is very important in crane operations, especially when heavy loads need to be temporarily suspended in the air.
4. Enabling micro-motion control
The counterbalance valve can realise micro-control of the load, so that the crane can adjust the load position more accurately during the lifting process, and improve the accuracy and safety of the operation.
5. Prevent hydraulic system overload
By restricting the flow and pressure of hydraulic oil, the counterbalance valve prevents the hydraulic system from being overloaded due to excessive load, thus protecting other components in the hydraulic system.
6. Reduce the high temperature of hydraulic oil and power consumption
During the jacking process of the hydraulic cylinder, the counterbalance valve allows the hydraulic oil to pass easily through the parallel check valve, avoiding high temperature of the hydraulic oil and power consumption due to throttling and damping.
