Blind flange, real name is blind plate. It is a connection form of flange. In fact, it is a flange without a hole in the middle.
One of its functions is to block the end of the pipeline, and the other is to facilitate the removal of debris in the pipeline during maintenance. In terms of sealing effect, it has the same effect as the head and pipe cap. However, there is no way to disassemble the head, and the flange blind plate is fixed with bolts, which is very convenient to disassemble.
Hastelloy C22, also known as alloy C22, is a multi-functional austenitic nickel chromium molybdenum tungsten alloy with stronger resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. High chromium content provides good anti-oxidation medium, while molybdenum and tungsten content have good resistance to reducing medium. This nickel steel alloy also has excellent oxidation resistant water media, including wet chlorine and mixtures containing nitric acid or oxidizing acid containing chloride ions. Other corrosive Hastelloy C22 has antioxidant acyl chloride, wet chlorine, formic acid and acetic acid, ferric chloride and copper chloride, seawater, brine and many mixed or polluted organic and inorganic chemical solutions. This nickel alloy also provides optimum resistance in environments where reduction and oxidation conditions are encountered in the process flow. This is beneficial in multifunctional factories, where this "unease" situation often occurs. This nickel alloy can resist the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the welding heat affected zone, so it is suitable for most chemical process applications under welding conditions. Hastelloy C22 should not be used at a service temperature higher than 1250 ° F because harmful phases can form above this temperature.
