The 4OXV characteristics description, operation principle (OP02), and product safety data sheet (PSDS 4) should be used together. The data provided in this document is valid for 3 months from the date of sensor manufacture under conditions of 20°C, 50% RH, and 1013 mBar. For guidance on sensor performance beyond these limits, please refer to the 4OXIV characteristics description. Over time, the output signal may drift below the lower limit. For guidance on the safe use of the sensor, please refer to the operation principle OP02.

Typical applications include general, portable or fixed life safety. The Toxicity Citizen is specifically designed for operation in various environments and harsh conditions. However, it is important to avoid exposure to high concentrations of solvent vapors during storage, installation onto the instrument, and operation. When using sensors with printed circuit boards (PCBs), a degreasing agent should be used before installing the sensor. Do not stick it directly onto or near the CiTiceL as the solvent may cause the plastic to crack. Cross-sensitivity data: TLV levels of toxic gases have no cross-sensitivity effect on the oxygen CiTiceLs. At very high levels (i.e., percentage levels), highly oxidizing gases (such as ozone, chlorine) can interfere with the extent of their oxidation equivalents, but most other common gases do not have an impact. Acidic gases: Important note: Acidic gases such as CO2 and SO2 are absorbed by the electrolyte and tend to increase the oxygen flow towards the electrodes. This gives an approximate 0.3% enhancement of the oxygen signal for every 1% CO2 signal. Oxygen CiTiceLs are not suitable for continuous operation when the CO2 concentration exceeds 25%.
