Description
Bipolar high-frequency wires are mainly used in medical surgery, especially as accessories in high-frequency surgical equipment and radiofrequency surgical equipment. Bipolar high-frequency wires are usually used with high-frequency/radiofrequency surgical equipment to perform operations such as cutting, ablation and coagulation of tissues during surgery.
High-frequency current is delivered through two electrodes, each with a small surface area, and the current passes through the tissue between the two electrodes, forming a high current density, thereby generating a thermal effect in the tissue between the two electrodes. This design limits the surgical effect to the area between the two electrodes, does not require a large area return electrode, and reduces damage to surrounding tissues.
The high-end generator AUTOCON® III 400 is the third generation of high frequency surgery units from KARL STORZ and is designed for use with both bipolar and unipolar instruments. Designed to give surgeons better control, deliver a more precise cut, and easily integrate into the OR, the UH 400 sets new standards in surgical energy delivery. Unlike any generator of its kind, the UH 400 delivers energy smarter with Advanced Response Control (ARC) Tissue Sensing Technology. The energy is then precisely targeted to the surgical site with the industry's only True Bipolar electrode.
