Core Function: Detects and provides feedback on the cross-slope angle of the screed, essential for proper road surface drainage (typically expressed as a percentage).
Operating Principle:
- Mechanically connected to the paver's tow arms or reference beam via pendulum arm
- Converts ground level variations into pendulum arm movement
- Internal precision potentiometer/encoder transforms shaft rotation into electrical signals
- Control console compares real-time data with target values to automatically adjust screed tilt
