Warehouse Roller Rack Gravity Flow Racking System For Industrial Storing And Picking
For most pallet racks, the basic components include frames, beams and some have support rails for product storage. This kind of racks are called static racks where material handling are simpley rely on forklifts or manpower. The standard selective pallet racks, double deep, VNA, cantilever rack, drive-in racking all belong to this style.
However, for engergy saving and efficiency improving, our creative rack engineers invented some dynamic racks with rollers taking advantages from gravity, that can be general named as roller racks or gravity flow racks. Can you find some gravity flow racks with rollers in modern warehouses? Yes! Push back pallet rack, pallet flow racking and carton flow rack are all commonly seen dynamic storage systems in warehouses, distribution centers and commerical occasions.
Similar Structures of Gravity Flow Racks
Gravity flow racks are often designed on the basis of typical pallet rack components and organizations. Upright frames and beams play the most fundamental role in any racking systems like the bones in human body. As the following picture indicated, carton flow, pallet flow and push back racks all use frames and beams to carry capacity loads and form storage bays.
Dynamic Part of Gravity Flow Racks
To realize dynamic material handling, gravity taken components such as rollers, wheels and conveyors combined with inclined rail are the key to automatic product picking and placing which consist of the flow system.
In push back pallet rack, nested carts with wheels carry the pallet loads move in and out the system; while in carton flow, slanted rails equipped with small rollers will responsible for the cartons fast placing and picking; for some pallet flow system, galvanized rotary drums will be installed into the bays for automatic storage and retrieval. Though slighlty different, they follow the same rules applying gravity into the working procedure.
