About Water-cooled chillers
The two popular types of industrial chillers are air-cooled chillers and water-cooled chillers.hey have same configuration, condenser, expansion valve, evaporator, and compressor), the main difference is in how the refrigerant is cooled. The air-cooled chillers use fans to cold refrigerant. However, the water-cooled chiller use water from cooling tower.
Industrial water-cooled chillers have a separate cooling tower for water circulation with chiller condenser. Normally water-cooled chillers are cheaper and more efficient.
Water-cooled chillers can be costly to install and maintain due to the additional cooling water tower, tanks, and water pump.
Water-cooled units often take up less space than air-cooled units, even with the tower, but higher cost of water.
