The Electropneumatic Positioner is a device used to control the position of control valves. It is designed with a compact, low-maintenance structure that boasts an excellent dynamic response. The Electropneumatic Positioner is built with two different housing material options, Die-cast aluminum or stainless steel housing. The housing material of the positioner determines its durability and resistance to environment, and it can be attached to linear actuators according to IEC 60534-6 or SAMSON integral attachment. Rotary actuators can also be attached to the positioner according to VDI/VDE 3845. For double-acting actuators, the Type 3710 Reversing Amplifier can be used as an attachment.
The Electropneumatic Positioner has adjustable proportional (P) band, and adjustable air output capacity. The proportional band adjustment allows the positioner to respond quickly to any changes and provide a precise control signal. The air output capacity adjustment on the other hand ensures efficient and low supply air consumption, which ultimately leads to cost savings.
