The Type IV rail fastening system is a boltless railway fastening system, it has advantages of a compact structure, strong buckle pressure, and good gauge maintenance ability. It is used for 60kg/m rails without shoulders, serving passenger trains at 350km/h with an axle load of 170kN and mixed passenger-freight trains at 250km/h with an axle load of 230kN.
The fastening system is composed of several key components, including the C4 rail clip with joint JA and JB elastic bars, a Type IV embedded rail shoulder, an insulating gauge block, and a rubber rail pad.
