1. Definition:

A precision-engineered, solid cylindrical rod manufactured from Grade 304 Stainless Steel, conforming to ISO 9626 standards for medical needle tubing. Despite the term "tube," it features a solid core (no lumen) and a bevelled sharp point. It serves as the piercing element in single-use blood lancets for capillary blood sampling (finger/heel sticks). This component is the critical functional part of a blood lancet. Its purpose is to create a quick, controlled, minimally traumatic puncture in the skin to access capillary blood for glucose testing, hemoglobin checks, or other point-of-care diagnostics. Compliance with ISO 9626 ensures consistent dimensions, material properties, and biocompatibility. The "solid core" distinguishes it from hollow hypodermic needles.

2. Key Properties:

Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to bodily fluids, sweat, and sterilization processes.
Strength & Rigidity: High tensile strength prevents bending/buckling during skin puncture.

4. Manufacturing Process:

Wire Drawing: Cold-drawn to precise diameter per ISO 9626.
Centerless Grinding: Achieves tight OD tolerances and surface finish.
Pointing/Bevelling: Precision grinding forms the bevel edge.
Cleaning & Degreasing: Removes contaminants.
