ASTM A182 F347 is a stabilized austenitic stainless steel grade that contains columbium (niobium), which provides excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion. This material is particularly effective in environments where the material is exposed to high temperatures or where sensitization to carbide precipitation can occur. The addition of columbium also enhances its mechanical properties, making it suitable for demanding industrial applications.
