Printing process of Sublimation Lanyard Clips
The printing process for sublimation lanyard clips involves transferring dye-based ink onto a specially coated surface using heat and pressure. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how it works:
Create or finalize your design using graphic software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or CorelDRAW).
Ensure the design is mirrored (flipped horizontally) before printing since it will be transferred face-down.
Use CMYK color mode for accurate color reproduction.
Print the mirrored design onto sublimation transfer paper using a sublimation ink printer (with dye-based sublimation inks).
Standard inkjet or laser printers will not work—only sublimation inks can bond with the polymer coating on the lanyard clip.
The lanyard clip must have a polyester coating or polymer layer to accept sublimation ink.
Ensure the surface is clean and free of dust or oils before transfer.
Place the printed sublimation paper face-down onto the lanyard clip.
Secure it with heat-resistant tape to prevent shifting.
